Description

This stainless steel conical fermenter is exactly what you need if you are looking to take your fermentation game to the next level, two batches at a time. This 13-gallon fermenter is made entirely of heavy duty 304 stainless steel (including the valves) and all the gaskets are platinum cured silicone for high-temperature tolerance. The entire lid is removable and the inside is mirror polished, making this conical fermenter very easy to clean. The total capacity of this stainless conical fermenter is 13 gallons, so you can do a double batch and still have plenty of head space for that wonderful foamy, bubbly fermentation action.

On the bottom, there are two 1.5″ tri-clover ferrules for attaching the drain and racking valves (both included). On the top, there is one 1.5″ tri-clover ferrule for attaching an airlock or blow-off valve. If you’re looking for a smaller version of the 13-gallon fermenter, check out our 8-gallon conical fermenter.

Included with this stainless steel conical fermenter:

(Thermometer and thermowell can be added to the side port and are purchased separately)

The stainless steel conical fermenter is approximately 51 x 17 x 17 inches and weighs 45 pounds..

Thank you!

1 review for Stainless Steel Conical Fermenter – 13 Gallon

  1. Steve

I just received this fermenter for my birthday (Thanks Dad!) The welds look good aside from one where they didn’t complete it around a fitting, but there’s no leaks because it looks like the tank was flared before welding. It says it’s a 13 gallon fermenter for a 10 gallon batch + room for krausen, but when I missed my boil off and ended up with a 12 gallon batch, I was happy to find I had plenty of room left. I’m not sure as I didn’t do any kind of volume check, but I think this would do a 1/2bbl with head space. The fermenter was polished inside and out and came packed well with no damage. Because of the fitting that come with it, I would recommend getting a drilled rubber stopper that fits inside a 3/4" barb fitting for an air lock, or (what I did) get some 1/2" ID silicone hose (it will stretch over the supplied barb fittings) and run it into a pickle jar full of starsan sitting on top of the unit.
