Newly available is our 2″ copper still tower that can be used as either a pot still or reflux still. With this tower, you maintain the aesthetics and sulfide removing properties of the copper, while running through a modern and durable design! The 2″ tri-clamp connector on this ethanol distiller tower will allow it to be clamped onto our 13-gallon milk can boiler, 8-gallon milk can boiler, or an old beer keg!
This reflux tower still includes a tri-clamp gasket with screen to aid in holding packing materials and to encourage even distribution of the distillate on its way down the column. In many cheaper reflux stills the distillate runs directly down the sides preventing optimal reflux.
You will need to purchase some packing materials (copper mesh or raschig rings) in order to use this for reflux ethanol distillation. We recommend the copper mesh (as it helps to remove sulfides that are produced by distillation) with a liter of raschig rings on top.
This dual purpose tower is approximately 35″ tall and includes:
- 3″ dial industrial thermometer
- 3, 2″ tri-clamps
- 2, 2″ silicon gaskets
- 1, 2″ stainless steel screened gasket
- 1, 1/2″ clamp
- 1, 1/2″ gasket
- Copper column extender
- Copper column condenser
- Copper lower product condenser
