Hello everyone, or as Jeff at MD would say, Howdy Folks!
I am a repete customer of MD and wanted to share some thoughts of MD and their products.
I just got delivery yesterday. MD shipped this to me in a well packed wooden crate to protect it from the shipping handling as best as possible, I was impressed with MD efforts to protect my investment.
Online purchase I contacted to ask about adding shipping insurance because I don’t trust the trucks, dock workers, or truck drivers to handle it with care. Chuck called me next business day so I could purchase the additional insurance, I also ordered a 240 volt heating element while I was on the phone with Chuck.
MD did a great job of packing it and the insurance was just to help me feel better about the possibility of mishandling by the shipping people, not by MD. MD has always packed my orders very well.
So it arrived undamaged thanks to MD excellant packaging, unscrewed the lid to the crate, pulled it out and I must say it is a beautiful still. When I looked at the photograph in the online store it looked very good but when I saw it in person and held it in my hands it is a very nice well built beautiful still. You can see and feel the quality that is put into building it.
This is the perfect blend of an old school copper still but modernized with a stainless steel bottom, triclamp ports and fittings and a triclamp style lid for ease of cleaning and loading. I have not ran it yet, awaiting the 3 inch conventional head to arrive.
I had bought the 25 gallon still first and I loved it so much I wanted to get this 13 gallon copper still.
I am really impressed with the quality of the MD stills and the customer service at MD is top notch.
